Monday, February 15, 2010 - Just after 2230 hours on Sunday, 02/14/2010, Trumbull dispatch reported a structure fire at 160 Broadway Road in the Long Hill Section of town and requested that Nichols respond as the rapid intervention team. The first arriving fire officer, Trumbull Center Car 2 reported a fire on the C-Side exterior. Long Hill Engine 206 arrived on scene soon after, layed a supply line and stretched a 1.75" handline suppressing the flames. Other crews entered the basement and found extension. The scene was left in the hands of the town and state fire marshals.
On Monday, 02/15/2010 at 0615 hours, Nichols was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle rollover in the area of 75 Merritt Boulevard at the Industrial Park. While enroute, Trumbull Regional Dispatch Center added the Trumbull Center Fire Department as mutual aid due to the fact that the occupants were trapped inside the vehicle. Nichols Car 2 arrived first on scene and found that a Trumbull police officer on scene successfully assisted two occupants from exiting the car. Rescue 300 and Quint 303 arrived on scene while the mutual aid was returned to service. Rescue 300 remained on scene for the vehicle removal.
